The American Psychological Association will consider a proposal by leading military psychology division members to modify an APA ban against psychologist working at Guantanamo Bay. The modifications will be discussed at the opening of the 2018 convention of the APA council. The proposal comes after controversy surrounding psychologist involvement in developing the manual used for “enhanced interrogation techniques.” The changes would deal heavily with the rules regarding interrogation of prisoners.
