The state of Illinois has approved a budget of $224 million to pay for infrastructure projects around the Obama Presidential Center site in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood, and $199 million of it will come directly from taxpayers. Yes, that’s right…instead of spending money on schools or day care centers or homeless shelters or vocational training centers, they are going spend the money to make Obama’s Center nice and fancy.
