Assimilation and adaptation has been a challenge for the Hispanic community in the United States, and moreover the challenge varies according to cultural differences amongst generations. Public opinion has declared that Hispanics tend to reject American culture, when in reality the Hispanic population for more than 100 years has not seen any change in the way they adapt to American culture.
