Traveling in Las Vegas just got a whole lot easier. The newly opened Las Vegas Convention Center Loop allows you to travel from one end of the building to the other in just under two minutes as you sit comfortably in the back of a Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model X. Before the loop, you would have to take a 45 minute walk to get from one side of the Las Vegas Convention Center to the other. The project was built by Elon Musk and The Boring Company for approximately $53 million. The tunnels were dug using a powerful tunnel boring machine, and the loop will one day run through all of Las Vegas. The Vegas Loop will eventually connect McCarran Airport to Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, and every casino and hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Musk even has plans for a futuristic hyperloop that will expand all across the United States. The Hyperloop will cut down travel time between major cities significantly. Imagine being able to drive your Cybertruck onto a platform that descends into an underground tunnel system. You could then drive the vehicle yourself or sit back and let the platform whisk you to your destination at 200km/h. You could then hop into a maglev train and travel to another city in a vacuum tube at speeds faster than 600 mph. Here’s a look at the Vegas Loop and The Boring Company’s ambitious plans for the future. Are you excited to ride underground in the Vegas Loop?
