6 Quadruple Rainbow
April showers were followed by some welcome sun on the morning of April 21, 2015, in Glen Cove, New York. Another special and rare treat could be seen in the skies that day, a quadruple rainbow. One of these rainbows was formed directly from the sun’s light, and the other three were reflected images.

5 Catatumbo Lightning
Catatumbo lightning is an atmospheric phenomenon that only occurs in Venezuela, over the mouth of the Catatumbo River as it feeds into Lake Maracaibo. It refers to the lightning storm that lasts from anywhere between 140-260 nights a year. It happens as a result of wind patterns that are created by the local topography, creating the perfect condition for a highly electrified lightning storm for nearly half the year.

4 Lenticular Cloud
Lenticular Clouds are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form in the troposphere normally in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction. Because of their particular shapes, they have been used as an explanation for some UFO sightings. As currents of air and wind blow through obstructions like buildings, hills, and mountains they created certain turbulences that can affect the formation of clouds above them.

3 Frost Flowers
These islands of ice are called Frost Flowers and they form in the Arctic Ocean in sub-zero temperatures, usually around -20 degrees Celsius. The spikes have also been found to contain microorganisms which make them similar to miniature ecosystems like coral.

2 Fire Whirl
A fire whirl is also commonly known as a fire devil, fire tornado, firenado, or fire twister is a fire-induced whirlwind that may occur when the intense rising heat and turbulent wind conditions combine to form whirling currents of air. These can turn into a tornado-like structure that sucks up the combustible gases and flames creating what visually looks like a fire tornado. This cell of winds can fan the flames and make them even larger.

1 Costa Rican Spheres
Known locally as “Los Bolas”, these Costa Rican Stone Spheres have been the subject of countless myths, rumors, and conspiracies. The reason that these spheres exist have been linked to Atlantis, aliens, etcetera. However, one likely reason that these exist are from erosion from the water and air in the area.
