Welcome back, Richest fans! With each passing year, we move a step closer to the industry of space tourism becoming a money-making powerhouse. In the past, one of the only ways to become an astronaut was to train for years to be involved in NASA missions. Yet the agency then offered the public the chance to visit the International Space Station, for a fee. As such, a number of companies are coming forward to taxi those adventurous citizens. Today, we’re going to look at the upcoming space trips available and the massive costs behind them. Some of which involve the company, SpaceX. We’ll look at the history of the industry as well as various other companies looking to send the paying public to the stars.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we have Elon Musk’s firm working with Robert Bigelow’s Bigelow Aerospace that’s worth millions of dollars! However, it didn’t exactly go to plan. We’ll see what the trip offers and some info behind the acclaimed Crew Dragon capsule. We’ll then look at the first paying tourist, Dennis Tito, and his venture to the ISS back in 2001. It only cost tens of millions of dollars! We’ll then examine a couple of packages put together by Space Adventures. One of which involves the desire to beat a long-held record by the Gemini 11 mission. There’re the low-orbital trips being offered by Richard Branston’s company, Virgin Galactic. As well as the celebrities already signed up for the trip! Finally, we’ll briefly look at one of the most expensive upcoming space projects, the Webb Telescope.
