According to the Wall Street Journal, WeWork now occupies more Manhattan office space than any other company. It used to be JPMorgan Chase, which rents or owns a whopping 5.2 million square feet in Manhattan. WeWork now rents 5.3 million square feet in the Big Apple, officially making it the city’s biggest renter. Considering the average price for a square foot in Manhattan is over $1700, that’s pretty impressive. The Resident, however is very glad she doesn’t work in one.
