Some Problems With Prepping For the End Times

Survivalism/prepping is a popular topic these days–and, to judge by the amount of time and money devoted to the topic, getting more popular by the minute.

HOWEVER, WHERE THE END TIMES ARE CONCERNED, there seems to be a great many problems, holes and contradictions in the philosophy of those whose highest value is “Always be [physically] prepared.”

A few thoughts on the subject follow.

1- Biblically speaking, prepping is the antithesis of what God’s Word recommends.

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool”
–Proverbs 28:26

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
–Proverbs 3:5

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
–Psalm 118:8

But preppers do not put their trust in the LORD: they put their trust in themselves; they trust in the words of other men; they trust in the things of this
