Matilda songwriter Tim Minchin says the UK undervalues the arts

Comedian, singer, songwriter and creator of the Matilda musical Tim Minchin has now released his debut album.

He tells Sky’s Kay Burley, even though it was written before the pandemic, ‘Apart Together’ reflects many of the issues we’ve all faced in 2020.

And he says the events of this year have proved that the UK has been undervaluing the arts industry – for its contribution to the economy and British culture.
